AviationㆍRailway Accident Investigation Board was born on July 10, 2006, as the Aviation Accident Investigation Board and the Railway Accident Investigation Board were integrated with each other upon enforcement of the Act on AviationㆍRailway Accident Investigation on July 9, 2006.
The board is mandated to prevent similar incidents by clarifying causes of aviationㆍrailway accidents and to improve quality of life for citizens by protecting lives and properties in the ultimate.
