Signaling Installations

  • As of the end of 2007, railway signaling installations include automatic train control stop (A.T.C) in 46 stations of 4 lines stretching 299.9km(8.8%), centralized traffic control (C.T.C) in 320 stations of 21 lines stretching 1,927.5km(56.7%), automatic block system (A.B.S) in 392 stations of 23 lines 2,452.0km(72.1%) and automatic train stop (A.T.S) in 526 stations of 54 lines stretching 3,399.1km(100%). Among 526 stations in total, interlocking devices include electric interlocking found in 259 stations (49.2%), electronic interlocking found in 262 stations (49.8%) and mechanical interlocking found in 5 stations (1.0%).
