Railway Statistics
Manpower Status
- KORAIL's manpower amounts to 31,480 persons in total. They include 14,550 persons (46.2%) responsible for sales and operation directly relating to train operation at stations or passenger posts, 6,445 R/S crews (20.5%) performing R/S maintenance and inspection at R/S maintenance divisions or depots, 8,036 facility/electrical engineering resources (25.5%) performing facility maintenance and management at facility management, architecture, equipment, electrical/information communication/signal control divisions and 2,449 backoffice employees (7.8%) controlling, coordinating and managing a variety of railway business processes (at head offices) and providing support at education & training centers or branch offices.
